quote: At Token2049 in Singapore, the floors no longer carried the old energy of cat-ear headsets, spandex, and meme-laden hoodies. Bankers, asset managers, and executives from established firms moved among founders and protocol teams, the quieter dress code signaling a broader realignment. What once represented cultural rejection now looks like institutional arrival—Wall Street has stopped treating digital assets as an external curiosity and begun integrating them into its operating system. This is more than aesthetics. Crypto’s earlier identity was deliberately anti-establishment: permissionless, resistant to hierarchy, and skeptical of traditional finance. Its visual language reflected the belief that money and settlement could operate beyond banks, clearinghouses, and regulators. Spot Bitcoin ETFs have attracted tens of billions in cumulative flows, with BlackRock’s IBIT becoming a standard portfolio allocation. Institutions that weathered the drawdown from late 2025 into mid-2026 largely maintained or increased exposure, treating weakness as an accumulation opportunity. Allocations remain modest, typically one to two percent, but increasingly persistent—positioned as a long-term store-of-value complement to gold rather than pure speculation. Tokenized equities and real-world assets have also expanded across formerly crypto-native platforms. Wall Street’s posture is pragmatic. High yields and renewed Federal Reserve rate hikes did not prevent digital assets from reclaiming the $3 trillion market-cap threshold or delivering a strong quarterly recovery in 2026. ETF inflows during August and September turned year-to-date figures positive, largely driven by regulated investment vehicles. CME booths and banking sessions at industry conferences have become ordinary channels for distribution and risk management. Tokenization of equities, commodities, and credit is increasingly discussed alongside custody, prime brokerage, and collateral eligibility. Infrastructure is being designed around institutional volume, reliability, and compliance rather than experimentation alone. What began as an alternative financial ecosystem is becoming mainstream market infrastructure, with traditional institutions shaping how capital moves through the space. Yet this transition carries tension. Crypto’s original promise was not merely faster settlement or tokenized assets; it was an architecture of trust that could make intermediaries optional. Institutional participation makes digital assets investable at scale, but reintroduces gatekeeping and coordination costs the technology sought to reduce. As banks and asset managers become primary distribution channels, permissionless infrastructure may survive in code while economic value concentrates in regulated products. Price discovery and capital allocation still occur on-chain, yet the marginal dollar increasingly arrives through structures governed by securities laws, fiduciary standards, and balance-sheet constraints. The result is a hybrid model: open protocols underneath, closed institutional channels above. This structure can scale beyond crypto-native experimentation, but risks diluting the original vision. For Wall Street, the adaptation is continuous. Equities and fixed income absorbed electronic trading and quantitative strategies without abandoning their institutional character; digital assets appear to be following a similar path. However, crypto’s volatility, continuous trading, and composability demand faster operational change. Real-time collateral management, programmable settlement, and on-chain transparency are increasingly viewed as advantages rather than threats. Firms that once dismissed the sector now evaluate it as another asset class with distinct liquidity, correlation, and custody characteristics. Cultural signaling at conferences matters less than the operational shift: risk committees have models, compliance teams have playbooks, and portfolio managers have benchmarks. Crypto’s institutionalization is no longer simply about acceptance; it is about building systems capable of sustaining capital flows. What remains uncertain is whether this absorption preserves crypto’s friction-reducing advantages or introduces new fees and access controls around faster settlement. Early internet platforms underwent a comparable evolution, shedding their experimental identities to become commercial infrastructure. Many radical projects were acquired, regulated into conventional businesses, or outcompeted. Crypto’s version of that process is still unfolding. The suits at Token2049 do not prove decentralized technology has been domesticated. They demonstrate that capital allocators now consider digital assets durable enough to require professional standards. Ultimately, markets will test whether that durability rests on the underlying rails or on the institutions now wearing the suits. | The change in appearance reflects a broader shift in crypto’s relationship with Wall Street https://www.bloomberg.com/news/newsletters/2026-10-08/less-cat-ears-and-spandex-as-crypto-bros-in-suits-take-over?taid=6ac84274329a7f0001777585&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_content=business&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter(Historical earnings: In the latest disclosed quarter (2026Q1, period ended 2026-03-31), Caterpillar reported basic EPS of 5.5, diluted EPS of 5.47, and revenue of USD 17.415 billion. Let’s than a month since Congress voted for (and President Trump signed into law) the “Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026” that gives the White House huge powers to limit the Kremlin’s sales of energy, the first move is to lift sanctions on Russian diesel.

quote: "Ukraine is ready to take symmetrical de-escalatory steps, and the American team knows our position. Our strikes on Russian oil refineries and other oil facilities are a response to Russia’s years-long campaign of terror against Ukraine’s energy sector. Ukraine will not set Russian oil refineries on fire if Russia does not destroy our energy infrastructure. This is the kind of agreement we are proposing to America, and we believe the United States has enough power to achieve such a compromise. Gifts to Putin will not bring peace or any benefit to the civilized world. Russia will “repay” the diesel with further terror and perfidy. Allowing Russia to sell petroleum products is an investment in a war that must be ended, not prolonged. What is needed is real de-escalation with Russia on a reciprocal basis." | Peace never comes through weakness. Today, representatives of the U.S. Congress were in Kyiv – a bipartisan delegation – and I am grateful to them for visiting Ukraine at such a difficult time. They asked: what is needed to end the war? The answer must be strong. There must be sanctions under the Lindsey Graham bill, there must be support for Ukraine in protecting lives, and there must be pressure on Russia for its war. And today, there was a conversation between the leaders of America and Russia. A conversation that leads to something different. Recently, there was a European decision to lift sanctions on Russian oligarchs. Since then, Russian strikes and the torment of people have only increased. This past week alone, there was a brutal Russian missile strike on a residential building in Pryluky, aerial bombs were dropped on Kramatorsk – on ordinary city buses – and there have been constant attacks on Kyiv’s energy infrastructure and on the life-sustaining infrastructure in Dnipro, Kharkiv, Odesa, and our other cities. Dozens of people have been killed and hundreds wounded. The Russians are compensating for their inability to achieve their objectives on the battlefield with this kind of terror. This year, Russia is weaker on the battlefield than at any other point in the war. That is why Putin is relying on terror. That is why he is relying on attempts to strike backroom deals to secure some form of pressure relief for Russia, in order to buy more time and more opportunities for war. Any easing of sanctions against Russia without a clear and lasting de-escalation agreement with Russia is an obvious weakness. It plays into Russia’s hands – allowing it to kill more, wage war for longer, have even less respect for America, and inflict even greater losses and damage on the world. Ukraine is ready to take symmetrical de-escalatory steps, and the American team knows our position. Allowing Russia to sell petroleum products is an investment in a war that must be ended, not prolonged. What is needed is real de-escalation with Russia on a reciprocal basis. We count on America’s fair support for our defense of life, for our defense of people in Ukraine – and on the United States having a correspondingly strong conversation with Russia. A strong one, not a weak one.

“This is a watershed moment.”

“I would hope that Wall Street as Wall Street still exists, but it will have to do business differently.”

“The goal of tokenized equity is to move the markets to an always-on economy.”

“Tokenization will represent the biggest upgrade to our financial system since we moved from paper to electronic trading.”

quote: So the wait is over! @enjin Multiverse Wind Season rewards are out! Players completed 21,854 quest events and earned 155,992 Essence points in the last 66 days. You did not need to grind anything separately. You did what you love to do, and there were 10 featured games to play, which were all fun and entertaining. And as a reward for your participation, 50,000 ENJ were permanently infused into NFTs, along with exclusive limited-edition artifacts. Rewards Distribution: 👉 Legendary Cloud Blob (2,000 ENJ infused): Top 15 players (active in ≥ 5 games). 👉 Epic Cloud Blob (200 ENJ infused): Top 100 players (active in ≥ 4 games). 👉 Common Cloud Blob (0.1 ENJ infused): Top 1,000 players. Exclusive Reward Recipients: 👉 Windstruck Tome Artifact: Awarded to the Top 500 players. 👉 Stormborne Degen (1-of-1 NFT): Awarded to 1 player via a draw. If you were able to secure your sweet rewards already, then congratulations. And what if you missed the event!! Don't worry... Next Earth Season begins October 13, 2026, at 15:00 UTC on Enjin Multiverse. | Wind Season just ended on October 2, and the dashboard feels quiet now. No more quests to clear, no more Essence stacking up while you play. But !! But.... The teams are still going through the final scores so everything stays fair, which means the rankings are not locked yet. They should drop soon. If you are wondering whether any of that was worth it, it kind of was.🤔🤔 You were not grinding some extra side quest that felt like a second job. You were just playing the @enjin games you already like. Connect your wallet on the Multiverse dashboard, play, and Essence shows up on its own. Nothing to buy. The more Essence you pick up, the better your rewards and the stronger your shot in the end-of-season draws. Those rewards are Multiverse items. They are NFTs you earn from the quest and they actually work across the games in the Multiverse. Same item, different use depending on which game you open. Not just something that sits in your wallet. And if you missed Wind, you are not cooked😜. Earth Season starts October 13 and runs through December 18. New season, new rewards, same idea. Play the games, stack Essence, climb. Even if you skipped the last one, you can still jump in. That is kind of the whole point. Play what you already enjoy, and the rewards come with it.

Crypto News - 9 October 2026 The U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission proposed a new regulatory framework on October 5 that would allow cryptocurrency exchanges offering leveraged or margined trading to operate under federal oversight. The proposal introduces a category of regulated venues called crypto asset markets, with requirements covering proof of reserves, market manipulation safeguards and customer protections. Exchanges could opt into this framework rather than relying primarily on separate state money-transmitter licenses. The move follows Congress's failure to advance broader crypto market legislation and represents another attempt to establish clearer rules for digital asset trading. However, the proposed framework remains subject to the regulatory process and does not replace comprehensive legislation. Samsung Brings USDC Payments to Galaxy Wallets Samsung announced plans this week to introduce USDC stablecoin transfers directly through Samsung Wallet and Samsung Pay for eligible Galaxy users in the United States. The service, scheduled to begin rolling out in late October, will use blockchain infrastructure including Solana to support cross-border payments without requiring a separate cryptocurrency application. Users will be able to transfer USDC to compatible wallets and send funds to eligible bank accounts in more than 60 countries, with local currency conversion available. The initiative involves infrastructure provider Bastion and Coinbase, which will support custody services. Samsung's announcement highlights the growing integration of stablecoins into everyday financial applications and consumer payment systems. NYSE Parent Backs 24/7 Tokenized Stock Trading OKXICE, a joint venture between cryptocurrency exchange OKX and New York Stock Exchange parent Intercontinental Exchange, disclosed plans on October 5 for a regulated tokenized stock trading platform in the United States. The proposed venue would initially support blockchain-based versions of shares in more than 60 publicly listed companies, allowing round-the-clock trading and potentially faster settlement. Tokenized shares would retain traditional shareholder rights, including dividends and voting, under the proposed structure. The initiative builds on a new SEC innovation exemption designed to support regulated experimentation with blockchain-based securities. The platform has not yet launched and remains subject to regulatory conditions, but the announcement signals growing interest from established financial market operators in tokenization. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs opened Monday with USD 89.8 million in net outflows, as withdrawals from ARK 21Shares' ARKB (USD 85.2 million) and Fidelity's FBTC (USD 74.5 million) outweighed BlackRock's IBIT inflows of USD 69.9 million. Tuesday brought a reversal with USD 118.8 million in net inflows, led by IBIT (USD 122.0 million). Wednesday recorded the week's heaviest selling at USD 484.9 million in net outflows, driven by IBIT (USD 207.7 million), FBTC (USD 105.1 million) and ARKB (USD 101.7 million). Thursday extended the decline with another USD 244.1 million leaving the funds, including USD 197.1 million from FBTC. Overall, Bitcoin ETFs recorded approximately USD 700.0 million in net outflows across Monday through Thursday, signaling renewed institutional selling pressure. Friday's figures remain incomplete and are awaiting final issuer reporting, including IBIT. U.S. spot Ethereum ETFs began Monday with USD 50.8 million in net outflows, led by BlackRock's ETHA (USD 31.9 million) and Fidelity's FETH (USD 18.9 million). Selling accelerated Tuesday as ETHA recorded USD 201.9 million in withdrawals, bringing the day's net outflow to USD 201.9 million. Wednesday remained under pressure with USD 160.9 million in net outflows, driven by ETHA (USD 116.1 million) and Grayscale's ETHE (USD 25.8 million), alongside smaller withdrawals across other funds. Thursday saw another USD 72.5 million leave the market, although Fidelity's FETH attracted USD 5.5 million in inflows. Overall, Ethereum ETFs registered approximately USD 486.1 million in net outflows from Monday through Thursday, reflecting persistent institutional selling throughout the week. Friday's figures remain incomplete and are awaiting final issuer reporting. Cardano (ADA) led this week's tracked assets with a modest 0.8% gain, followed by Metal DAO (MTL), up 0.2%, and Metal Blockchain (METAL), up 0.1%. These were the only three assets in the tracked group to finish the seven-day period in positive territory. Loan Protocol (LOAN) declined 1.6%, while Bitcoin (BTC) slipped 2.3% and XPR Network (XPR) fell 3.5%. Larger losses were recorded across several major cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum (-6.7%), Solana (-7.5%) and Hedera (-8.4%). The broad pullback coincided with heavy outflows from U.S. spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, although market sentiment remained in Greed territory. The Crypto Fear & Greed Index stood at 59 on October 9, down from 72 a week earlier, suggesting optimism had cooled despite the index remaining above neutral.(Historical earnings: For fiscal period 2026Q1, ended 2026-03-31, reported basic EPS of 0.23, diluted EPS of 0.21, net income of USD 55.253 million, and revenue of USD 0.694 billion. quote: A couple of follow-up thoughts on the Trump-Putin diesel deal: 1️⃣ Volume impact - minimal, unless...: Russia was already going to produce and export as much diesel as possible, and it could already find buyers for any volumes it could ship. However, if this deal is followed by a lowering of Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian refineries, then a real impact could be seen in perhaps 4-8 weeks, once plants come back on-line after repairs. 2️⃣ Who gets any new diesel?: Russian diesel is highly unlikely to come to the US in meaningful amounts, as the US is a very large exporter of diesel. Rather, any additional volumes would go to countries like Turkey and Brazil, both of which had become hesitant about Russian fuel after the recently-passed sanctions bill giving Trump the 100% tariff authority against major importers of Russian energy. US consumers could still benefit, however, if Russian diesel starts to bring down global diesel prices/cracks. #OOTT #Russia | The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) issued General License No. 135, which temporarily authorizes transactions related to the sale, delivery, offloading, and importation of Russian Federation-origin diesel fuel until April 7, 2027, at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time. #oott https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=web&rct=j&url=https://ofac.treasury.gov/media/937216/download?inline&ved=2ahUKEwi6taiE7a2XAxW7hv0HHcHqL3AQy_kOegoIAggACAAIChAB&opi=89978449&cd&psig=AOvVaw0Ux3IQkzgPBFt8A5dTGSDh&ust=1791666786761000

Today marks one year since 10/10, the largest recorded liquidation event in crypto history. More than $19 billion in leveraged positions were liquidated within 24 hours. Accounts wiped. Even traders who got the direction right saw their profitable positions forcibly closed. A year later, we should still be asking how well we’re protected against another event like it. One of the biggest lessons for me was ADL, or auto deleveraging. When liquidations leave a deficit that the usual backstops cannot absorb, an exchange can forcibly reduce or close a winning position on the opposite side to protect its solvency. Imagine holding spot and opening a short to protect yourself against a crash. The crash comes, your short does its job… then ADL closes it. You’re left holding the asset while the protection you planned around disappears. That’s why Flying Tulip Total Return Swaps deserve attention. TRS provides leverage long or short exposure through its connected lending and spot trading infrastructure, with settlement in ftUSD. Its design does not use ADL. Your position can remain open while your account meets its margin requirements, without being closed through ADL because other traders positions have gone underwater. You can still be liquidated if your own account falls below maintenance requirements yes but when that happens @flyingtulip_ uses RFQ (Request for Quote) to seek competing execution quotes and aims to sell only what’s needed to repay debt and restore account health. This allows partial liquidation where possible. For crypto, the significance goes beyond another way to trade with leverage. Removing ADL removes one reason a hedge can disappear precisely when you need most. This addresses a very real weakness exposed by 10/10. After a day like that its important to see more attention paid to how these systems protect a functioning trade when everything around it is under pressure. That’s the kind of progress worth talking about.

Today, representatives from the United States, the E3, the European Commission, Ukraine, and NATO met in Miami and held constructive discussions on potential avenues to de-escalate and conclude the war with Russia ahead of winter and advance efforts toward a durable and lasting peace. The discussions covered a broad range of issues, including near-term measures related to winter preparedness (energy resilience, grains exports), security guarantees, as well as longer-term arrangements for Ukraine’s and Europe’s security to prevent future conflicts, and support Ukraine’s post-war reconstruction and economic prosperity, including EU accession. The exchange was productive and helped identify areas for further exploration ahead of the United States’ next engagement with Russia. Participants reaffirmed their shared commitment to continuing diplomatic efforts toward a sustainable peace that strengthens security and creates opportunities for lasting stability and prosperity.

DOJ Examines Whether Binance Breached 2023 Settlement Amid Iran Sanctions Probe

The U.S. Department of Justice is reviewing whether Binance breached its 2023 settlement amid an investigation into potential violations of Iran sanctions, Bloomberg reported. Federal prosecutors sought to seize $61 million allegedly linked to Iranian oil sales and laundered through Binance. A breach could expose Binance to renewed criminal prosecution and billions in additional fines. No wrongdoing has been alleged against Binance or its employees in the current probe. Binance said it continues to strengthen compliance controls and cooperate with law enforcement.

Post-mortem on the October 5 incident On October 5, we discovered that a malicious actor found a vulnerability in one of our backend services. This allowed them to move approximately $5.8k in funds out of 36 accounts. Stolen funds were contained to a small subset of users and select assets they held. No private keys (held remotely with Privy) were exposed. The attacker was also able to access some profile-level details, including email addresses - we will email each affected user with a personalized impact report. We will not include any links or requests to take action in this email. Please take extra precaution around phishing attempts and scammers impersonating Wayfinder. The vulnerability lived in a backend service we built in 2025 to simulate contract interactions for users building smart contracts on Wayfinder. The attacker tricked the service into revealing an access key, allowing them to reach several other credentials we use to run Wayfinder. We’re truly sorry to all users who were impacted. Trust must be earned through action, and we’ve taken many steps in the past days to strengthen our security, making any future exploit attempts far more difficult, and far better contained. After discovering the attack, we: Immediately froze our services and revoked all permissions across our stack to prevent further user impact. Suspended all user Shells (virtual private servers). Assessed the user impact; announced the exploit to users and intention to compensate the losses. Identified the source of the exploit and all additional surface areas impacted. Reviewed and rebuilt our infrastructure, strengthening security in dozens of areas. Compensated Shells users who had funds stolen. Partially restored Wayfinder, enabling users to manage their positions through the UI tools. Early next week, we’ll: Email a personalized impact report to every affected user. Fully restore Wayfinder, including freshly deployed Shells and agents (we’re still reviewing potential attack surfaces). Compensate users whose positions were stuck and which resulted in loss while Wayfinder was paused. Compensate legacy app users who had funds stolen. Officially retire the legacy app (v1, which was used until May 2026). If you still have a balance there, you’ll still be able to export your keys to manage your positions. These actions make Wayfinder significantly more secure, and we hope they are the first step towards earning back your trust. Our work to keep raising the bar on security doesn’t stop here. - The Wayfinder Team
