NVIDIA $NVDA CUSTOMERS TOLD AI SERVER PRICES RISING MORE THAN 15% The increases take effect on systems shipped early next year and cover machines built around the flagship Vera Rubin and Grace Blackwell chips, with the size depending on chip generation and memory configuration, per Bloomberg citing people familiar with the process. Companies that build servers under contract for Microsoft $MSFT, Alphabet's $GOOGL Google and Oracle $ORCL have notified their customers. Nvidia did not respond to requests for comment. Memory costs are the driver. Samsung, SK Hynix and Micron $MU account for most global DRAM production and have raised output without catching up to demand. Apple $AAPL and Qualcomm $QCOM have both said in recent weeks that chip shortages forced them to charge more. Nvidia carries a 75% gross margin and reports fiscal second-quarter results next week. It also raised prices on gaming graphics cards earlier this month, per Tom's Hardware.
