According to Taiwanese media reports, Nvidia plans to launch an 800VDC power rack compatible with the MGX architecture in the second half of 2026. The product can be integrated directly into existing AC infrastructure and delivers 800VDC power to compute racks within the same rack row. Since it does not require major retrofitting of existing buildings and power supply systems, it is expected to lower the upgrade threshold for existing AI data centers. Nvidia also plans to go a step further and introduce a "Row Power Center" for newly built or high density AI factories. This approach feeds power to multiple rack rows through an overhead 800VDC busway, supports up to 2MW per rack row, and is set to enter actual deployment from 2027. Over the longer term, Nvidia intends to adopt a "DC Power Block" that converts grid electricity directly into 800VDC at the facility level, building out a power delivery architecture for AI factories aimed at the next decade.
