Security, reliability and connectivity to all the key points you want to access on-chain, these are the key features Chainlink offers. Actually providing these three key features will continue to lead to a growing network effect of the top on-chain assets choosing Chainlink for cross-chain interoperability, all data and many other key operations like off-chain orchestration using CRE.
WBTC is the largest form of wrapped Bitcoin available, which is being managed by BitGo, a licensed custodian that takes their system's security seriously. After a thorough security review of Chainlink vs the alternatives they have chosen CCIP as their preferred cross-chain method for the world's largest wrapped crypto asset.

This shift by WBTC will now have CCIP powering approximately 70% of all wrapped Bitcoin, which even if it wasn't the case initially, became that way eventually due to the security, reliability and connectivity of CCIP. This is a clear example of how building for security (e.g. multiple nodes that sign) and reliability (e.g. many nodes stay up during an AWS regional outage) is the right long-term approach to accrue a market leading position, one on-chain asset type after another. This approach is also how Chainlink got its 70%+ market share in DeFi; this works in an industry that values security and reliability.
