Bittensor Ecosystem Highlights :: July 27–August 2, 2026 [ @theminos_ai - Subnet 107 ] Minos co-authored a new paper with @OpenAI, “Scientific computing in the age of agentic AI.” The paper presents HelixForge, Minos’ GPU-native engine that generates SN107’s hidden evaluation genomes, as its most complex case study. On a matched benchmark, HelixForge ran 60× faster end-to-end than BamSurgeon and cut mutation-frequency error by more than half. [ @IOTA_SN9 - Subnet 9 ] Macrocosmos launched Orion-16B, a live 16B-parameter training run on IOTA. The model is training across three continents on a heterogeneous mix of RTX 4090s and 5090s. Unlike Orion-100B, this run uses a more permissionless and unpredictable compute pool, scaling to as many as 256 GPUs. [ @metanova_labs - Subnet 68 ] Metanova has started producing NOVA’s top nanobody candidates with @Yalotein for laboratory testing. The candidates came from its Bittensor competition, and the next step is to see whether these computer-designed molecules work in real experiments. [ @b1m_ai - Subnet 105 ] Beam completed its first decentralized subnet-to-subnet transfer, moving 107 GB from Cloudflare R2 to Hippius in around six minutes. Beam Tunnels will extend the same network to private data, connecting on-premise systems, cloud storage and Bittensor subnets. Together, the two updates move Beam closer to becoming a programmable data layer between Bittensor and existing enterprise infrastructure. [ @SynthdataCo - Subnet 50 ] Synth published a new paper showing how it adapted Google’s TimesFM 2.5 for SN50’s forecasting competition. Instead of predicting one likely future, the adapted model maps several possible market paths and how uncertain each one is. With under an hour on a gaming GPU, Synth made a public model competitive on SN50, showing that skill matters more than compute. [ @LeadpoetAI - Subnet 71 ] Dropbox and one of its channel sales partners are piloting Leadpoet with their sales teams. Leadpoet helps sales teams find the companies most likely to become customers, so they know who to contact first. [ @engyai - Subnet 53 ] Engy got the full 2.8T-parameter Kimi K3 running on 80 consumer RTX 5090 GPUs and plans to open access through their platform. The team served the model without datacenter GPUs or specialized networking, showing that frontier open models can run on widely available hardware. [ @babelbit - Subnet 59 ] Babelbit compared its live speech translation directly with Google on the same German news broadcast. In the demo, Babelbit’s Language API appears clearer and more accurate, with fewer hesitations and garbled phrases.
