DEX Spot Volume Reaches Record 24% of CEX Volume, Highest Since Tracking Began in 2019

According to The Block, citing DefiLlama data, DEX spot trading volume rose to about 24% of CEX volume in July 2026, the highest level since the series began in 2019. The ratio stayed below 10% for most of 2024, accelerated in 2025 and remained mostly between 18% and 21% in 2026 before setting a new record in July.
