Vessel traffic through two critical shipping chokepoints in the Middle East remains heavily depressed amid US-Iran tensions & threats to trade in the region.

MarineTraffic data shows at least 15 commercial ships passed through the Strait of Hormuz over the past 24 hours — one more than the previous day.

Ten vessels moved into the Persian Gulf — seven cargo ships and three tankers — while five departed into the Gulf of Oman, made up of three cargo ships and two tankers.

Before the war, vessel traffic through the Strait of Hormuz averaged about 120 crossings per day.
