TIP-63 Treasure Network is open for community discussion
Summary
TIP-63 proposes a Strategic Growth Fund (SGF) of up to 173 million new MAGIC, alongside a separate program of ongoing staking emissions, as part of the Treasure Network launch.
The full SGF would increase total supply from 347,687,043 to 520,687,043 MAGIC—an increase of 173 million MAGIC, or 49.76%, before separate staking emissions.
If approved, the initial mint of 100 million MAGIC to the Treasure Foundation is scheduled for February 3, 2027. Using the same baseline, this would increase total supply from 347,687,043 to 447,687,043 MAGIC, or 28.76%.
The remaining 73 million MAGIC would only be minted as specified network milestones are achieved. Approval of the proposal would not itself immediately mint the tokens.
Network
Treasure Network is an agent runner DePIN network. Nodes operate agents on behalf of token holders with agents represented as NFTs. Its goal is to let software, including games and virtual worlds, continue operating beyond their original creators, as long as their owners or communities keep funding the computing costs. The NFT enables autonomous agents to become transferable, programmable assets once transfers are enabled after launch.
Network operators, called towers, stake 200,000 MAGIC and one Legions Genesis NFT to participate. Towers earn MAGIC rewards and USDC revenue from agent usage. The proposal asks the community to approve:
Funding for network development and operations. The initial 100 million MAGIC would go to the Treasure Foundation to support the network’s security budget, development resources, institutional investment, and market making.
Milestone-based funding. Ten additional mints of 7.3 million MAGIC would be tied to network delivery, usage, staking participation, and burn milestones. The Foundation would verify completion, with public dashboard updates and advance announcements of mints.
Ongoing staking emissions. Proposed target annual inflation rates are 5% in Year 1, 4% in Year 2, 3% in Year 3, and 2.5% from Year 4 onward. Actual issuance would adjust with staking participation. These emissions are additional to the Strategic Growth Fund.
500 new Legions Genesis NFTs for the DAO treasury, bringing the collection’s supply to 3,500. Fifty would be permanently allocated to network staking for baseline node participation. The initial Legions collection was given away as LP rewards in 2021.
Agent creation and a portion of network service fees would burn MAGIC. Burn activity depends on usage; the proposal’s modeled scenarios do not offset the Strategic Growth Fund mint, which represents net new supply.
