An important meeting with President of the Bundestag @JuliaKloeckner. We highly value Germany’s leadership in protecting our people's lives, supporting our energy sector, and working together to ensure that Russia is held accountable for its war.

Every day, Russia attacks our cities and communities, constantly targeting Ukrainian energy infrastructure and logistics. The situation in our energy system is very difficult right now, with serious power outages in many regions. We discussed how Germany can support our energy sector and help provide additional protection against Russian missile and drone strikes.

We had a detailed discussion about financial support for Ukraine next year. I am grateful that Germany’s federal budget includes €11.6 billion in planned aid for Ukraine. We are doing everything we can to end the war as soon as possible, but we must be ready to defend Ukraine and our independence. I thank Germany for understanding all our needs, and we count on this decision being approved.
