BINANCE'S HACK MAY BE THE BIGGEST CYBER HEIST IN HISTORY
Chainalysis estimates $5.9B was stolen from the crypto exchange, and TRM Labs estimates more than $6B, per WSJ. Neither figure is confirmed by Binance.
The previous record was $1.5B, stolen from crypto exchange Bybit in 2025 by North Korea-linked hackers.
Binance has suspended all deposits and withdrawals. Tether and Circle have frozen about $3B of the stolen assets, according to Binance, which says user funds are safe.
