🚨UPDATE: @Aave says it has frozen markets on V3 & V4 "as a precaution" after the Binance hack.
@StaniKulechov also confirmed it's "a precautionary measure" and that "Aave Protocol was not affected."
"Aave's contracts are unaffected, and positions remain overcollateralized," the protocol said. New deposits and borrows are paused, but users can still withdraw and repay.

New onchain tallies now put the suspected drain from Binance hot wallets at more than $5.5B, sent to a new address via Tornado Cash.
@cz_binance says "it does look like a hack on Binance" and that "user funds are safe."
@binance says it's "actively investigating" reports of "a potential security issue" and that "user funds are completely safe." It hasn't confirmed an amount.
@tether froze more than 1.567B USDT tied to the incident, per @paoloardoino.
@circle froze more than 800M USDC "in coordination with law enforcement," per @jerallaire.
If the estimate holds, it would be the largest crypto hack on record, nearly four times the ~$1.5B Bybit hack.
