🚨BINANCE HACK. WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR:

New onchain tallies now put the suspected drain from Binance hot wallets at more than $5.5B, sent to a new address via Tornado Cash.

@cz_binance says "it does look like a hack on Binance" and that "user funds are safe."

@binance says it's "actively investigating" reports of "a potential security issue" and that "user funds are completely safe." It hasn't confirmed an amount.

@tether froze more than 1.567B USDT tied to the incident, per @paoloardoino.

@circle froze more than 800M USDC "in coordination with law enforcement," per @jerallaire.

If the estimate holds, it would be the largest crypto hack on record, nearly four times the ~$1.5B Bybit hack.
