From JPM's Mark Schilsky on GOOGL miss
The Stock is Now Encased in Carbon-ite: GOOGL is trading down -10% after hours after printing a quarter than I can only characterize as a straight up miss. Search missed Buyside estimates by -2%! Despite query growth being the highest it’s been in 5 years…pricing is declining way worse than investors were thinking. YouTube missed! (And no one cares about YouTube!). Google Cloud Revenue growth missed Buyside expectations as well – although Operating Margins were fantastic. But consolidated Operating Income missed Buyside bogeys as well.
All told, this was a poor print…and now makes it clearer why Sundar launched Carbon intra-day.(Consensus expectations: For the upcoming 2026Q3 event, consensus expects EPS of 5.9185; no revenue estimate is available.)
