$INJ futures trade on @Bitnomial, the CFTC-regulated DCM and DCO owned by Payward, the parent company of Kraken. They went live April 15 and have now traded on a US regulated market for more than six months. What comes next?
Six months of futures on a CFTC-regulated DCM is one of the conditions the SEC’s generic listing standards set for commodity-based ETPs, and $INJ now meets it ahead of the upcoming Canary Staked INJ ETF ($INJC).
Institutions trade the contracts through Bitnomial’s clearing member FCMs. Each contract is crypto-settled with a monthly expiration, and traders can post crypto or USD as margin through Bitnomial Clearinghouse, funding positions with assets they already hold. INJC is built for a different trader. The fund is set to hold and stake INJ inside a US ETF and restake the rewards into NAV.
Futures gave US institutions a regulated way to trade INJ. INJC is set to give US investors a regulated way to own it, staked, in the same brokerage account they use for everything else.
The regulated stack around $INJ keeps growing, and we’re building the onchain infrastructure underneath it all 🥷
