➡️ European gas is again above $1,100/mcm ($31/mcf, ~12x US Henry Hub).
➡️ Meanwhile, the last pipeline connection for Russian gas into the EU - TurkStream Line-2, which crosses into Bulgaria - is scheduled to be closed no later than Nov. 1, 2027, and Russian LNG will be barred from the EU from Jan. 1, 2027.
➡️ In 2025, Russian LNG accounted for ~18bcm of Europe's gas imports, while Line-2 of TurkStream added almost 18bcm more, together 12-13% of Europe's total imports.
➡️ Note that with the jump in gas prices, Line-2 has been run at ~24% above nameplate capacity in recent days, within a whisker of demonstrated maximum capacity. For October as a whole, it is on track to average 117% of nameplate capacity and 92% of demonstrated maximum.
