Reply to @BSCNews: What is Plume Network Trying to Bring Onchain?
From real estate to private credit, Plume Network (@plumenetwork) $PLUME is building infrastructure designed to bring real-world financial assets onto the blockchain.
The idea isto make assets that have traditionally been difficult to access, trade, or manage available through blockchain-based financial products.
But what does that actually mean?
(1) It starts with real-world assets (RWAs).
These are assets that exist outside crypto, including property, private credit, and other financial instruments.
Plume aims to connect these assets to onchain markets, where ownership and transactions can be represented through tokens.
(2) Property is only part of the picture.
Real estate has become a familiar example of tokenization, but Plume’s broader focus extends to private credit and other income-generating assets.
Private credit involves loans made outside traditional public bond markets, often to businesses. In October 2026, Plume launched a vault giving exposure to Fidelity’s Total Bond ETF.
(3) The goal is to make these assets usable in DeFi.
Tokenizing an asset is only one step. Plume is designed to support infrastructure that allows tokenized real-world assets to connect with blockchain applications, potentially enabling investors to use them in onchain financial strategies.
Its Nest vaults, which package RWA yield, now run on chains including Ethereum (@ethereum) $ETH, Solana (@solana) $SOL, and Monad (@monad) $MON.
(4) Access does not mean risk disappears.
Real-world assets still depend on legal agreements, asset managers, borrowers, and the quality of the underlying investments.
Tokenization does not automatically make an asset liquid, guarantee returns, or remove credit risk.
In October 2025, Plume registered with the SEC as a transfer agent, which lets it keep shareholder records onchain.
