Three tankers carrying diesel fuel from Russia are heading toward the eastern coast of the Atlantic Ocean, while the Russian domestic market is well supplied with diesel fuel, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak told reporters.
"In accordance with previously announced agreements to saturate the global diesel market, Russia will ensure additional supplies of diesel fuel to global markets and the United States. The ban on diesel exports has been relaxed, allowing companies to export 500,000 tons in October. This volume is calculated based on fully satisfying the domestic market with diesel fuel," he said.
"The first three tankers carrying fuel are already en route to the eastern Atlantic coast, with significant support from the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF). The bulk of the volumes could be supplied by Rosneft," Novak reported.
