Builder Fees on Solana: Build on GMX, Earn on the Flow You Bring
GMX brings decentralized perpetual trading to Solana, covering crypto, forex, commodities, and US stocks, with oracle-based pricing and on-chain GM liquidity pools. Builder Fees on Solana open that engine to anyone. Build an interface, route orders, and earn a fee on every position order your users place.
Permissionless by design. Publish a rate on-chain and start routing.
Ideas worth shipping:
Anything that places a position order can use Builder Fees.
Custom frontends. Build a pro terminal, a mobile-first UI, or a frontend in your community’s language. You own the product and the user relationship. GMX smart contracts handle pricing, execution, and settlement.
Telegram and social trading. Add tap-to-trade buttons under every call, or run copy trading for your group. Every position your bot submits carries your fee.
Bots and automation. Signal execution, DCA, grid strategies, and laddered stop-losses.
Macro and RWA tools. Trade gold around CPI, EUR/USD around FOMC, and NVDA into earnings, all from one Solana wallet. Event-driven tools can turn a macro calendar into one-click positions.
Portfolio apps and wallets. If you already show users their positions, let them act on what they see.
Strategy products. Hedging tools, managed strategies, and structured exposure.
How builders get paid:
The builder publishes a fee rate on-chain. The trader signs that exact rate with each order, and order creation and fee authorization happen in one transaction.
The fee is charged on top of the standard trading fees and is based on the change in position size. For example, a $1,000 size increase at a 0.01% rate means a $0.10 fee.
The fee is paid in the collateral token on increase orders and in the output token on decrease orders. It settles on-chain to the builder’s claim vault, and the builder can claim it at any time.
One pool, one price:
An order routed through a builder hits the same pool, at the same oracle price, under the same price impact rules as any other order. The builder fee is a separate line item; it never changes the fill.
Trader protections:
The trader signs the exact rate. If the builder’s live rate differs at execution, the transaction fails.
The rate is locked per order. Builder rate changes don’t affect existing orders.
Rates are capped on-chain. The cap is checked when the builder publishes a rate and again when the order is created.
There are no partial charges. If the added collateral can’t cover the fee, the order fails.
Builder interfaces are built and operated by third parties, not by GMX. Always check the builder fee shown before signing.
Supported orders:
Builder Fees apply to:
Market and Limit Increase orders
Market and Limit Decrease orders
Stop-Loss Decrease orders
They do not apply to swaps, liquidations, or ADL.
