@ssv_network reply (Wed Oct 21 18:05:51 +0000 2026): EIP-7732 brings that handoff into the protocol.
> A builder commits to a payload
> The proposer puts it in the beacon block
> The builder reveals the payload afterward
> The payment is then enforced onchain.
Relays may still carry bids, but the exchange no longer depends on trusting one.
Original @ssv_network reply (Wed Oct 21 18:05:48 +0000 2026): Ethereum’s next upgrade has a practical constraint:
Fit more work into a 12-second slot without pushing home operators out.
It is called Glamsterdam.
Today, a proposer often uses MEV-Boost to choose a block built elsewhere and delivered through a relay.
The crowded part comes next.
Validators have about four seconds to check consensus, execute the block, check blob availability and attest.
