24 ships reportedly attacked in roughly two weeks. 6,000 sailors stranded. And the UN's top maritime official is warning that the Strait of Hormuz remains too dangerous for commercial shipping.

International Maritime Organization chief Arsenio Dominguez says seafarers continue to lose their lives as vessels face mounting threats near one of the world's most critical shipping routes.

Now, tensions are spilling onto an international emergency radio channel as Iran accuses U.S. forces of broadcasting threatening messages to civilian crews, while CENTCOM insists its naval blockade is being enforced professionally.

Dominguez is urging ships not to transit the strait until safety guarantees are in place.

But attacks aren't the only concern. A growing problem involving fraudulent ship registrations is adding to the danger: https://www.foxnews.com/world/strait-hormuz-crisis-traps-6000-sailors-attacks-ships-mount-un-maritime-chief-says
