quote: Starknet has taken another step toward quantum resilience.
StarkWare has just demonstrated a phone signing a transaction on Starknet testnet using the Module-Lattice-Based Digital Signature Algorithm (ML-DSA). This signature method was standardized by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and is designed to resist quantum attacks.
In this demo, Starknet performs the complex mathematical checks behind a standard post-quantum signature and proves that the account code ran correctly.
Each Starknet account defines which signatures it accepts, so you can build accounts that support new signing methods without changing the network’s core rules.
Starknet is built to adapt. | A phone can now sign a quantum-resistant Starknet transaction.
We just sent a testnet transaction using a NIST-standard ML-DSA key generated and held inside the phone’s secure hardware.
The network verifies the post-quantum signature onchain, without requiring a hard fork.
