ASI Product & Development Update | Edition 16
This sixteenth edition of the biweekly ASI Alliance Product and Development Update covers progress from September 19 to October 2, 2026. During this period: ASI:Chain development covered node performance, bridge interoperability, delegated staking, and further work on the Wallet SDK and Web Wallet. Omega version 0.1.20-rc was released, improving how agents import and manage knowledge, tightening token-budget handling, and adding a new file-management capability.
ASI:Chain Node Infrastructure A fix for the long-running node performance issue described in the previous edition was validated through before-and-after testing. The results showed that the repeating growth-and-reset pattern had been removed, while block-processing cost, finalization latency, and validator CPU use were reduced across the tested configurations. Bridge Development The migration of the bridge onto the cross-chain messaging protocol was completed, bringing the supported bridge routes onto the same underlying messaging architecture. Further updates improved endpoint handling, relay behavior, and Cardano transaction recovery. Minor Cardano compatibility issues identified during integration testing were resolved, followed by successful live testing across the Cardano-to-ASI and Cardano-to-FetchHub routes. Delegated Staking The delegation state-loss issue reported in the previous two editions has been resolved. The updated implementation strengthened delegated stake accounting and handling around delegation, undelegation, and slashing behavior. The revised implementation subsequently passed testbed verification, confirming that the previously identified issue had been addressed. Indexer Review of the latest indexer work uncovered several reliability problems in synchronization and error handling, including cases where failures could be missed or reported incorrectly. Work is underway to address these issues. The indexer’s alerting was also improved to reduce false and repeated alerts and to handle failures more reliably. Wallet SDK and Web Wallet The Wallet SDK was updated to remove the shared active-account state, so each operation explicitly receives the account it should use. This allows different parts of an application to work with different accounts from the same wallet without interfering with one another, while preventing conflicting operations on the same account. Reservation handling was updated so the SDK stores a reservation before submitting a deploy, preventing it from losing track of a transaction it has sent. Wallet closing also waits for active operations to finish. The updated SDK is undergoing QA. The Web Wallet’s bridge flow was migrated onto the shared SDK, completing the wallet’s transition to the SDK. Bridge amount and fee handling were corrected so transferred amounts match the values users enter, transfers that cannot cover the required fee are rejected before submission, and confirmation dialogs display the actual operation fee. The Web Wallet is also undergoing QA. A visual redesign is underway alongside this work, with the shared interface foundation implemented and individual wallet screens being updated. Technical Tuesdays The ASI Alliance hosted a Technical Tuesday about ASI:Chain with Dr. Ben Goertzel, CEO of the ASI Alliance and SingularityNET, and Greg Meredith, Founder of F1R3FLY. The discussion explored ASI:Chain's origins and long-term vision, how SingularityNET and F1R3FLY technologies fit together in its architecture, and the role decentralized, verifiable infrastructure could play in the future of artificial intelligence.
Omega Omega version 0.1.20-rc was released, adding support for ASI Cloud embeddings in the knowledge-import flow. When external knowledge is imported into an agent, it needs to be converted into embeddings so Omega can later retrieve relevant information by meaning. The new support allows that process to use ASI Cloud, while imported memories can use the embedding model configured for the active provider. This means imported knowledge can use the same embedding setup as the rest of the agent’s memory rather than relying on a separate embedding path, keeping memory import and retrieval aligned. The release also fixed an issue that could cause reasoning to consume the entire available token budget and added safeguards around token-budget handling. A new delete-file skill was also added, allowing Omega to check whether a file exists and remove it with appropriate error handling.
