Kaia Q3 2026 Ecosystem Round-Up: Bridging Real-World Utility with Institutional Infrastructure Q3 2026 has been a defining period for the Kaia ecosystem. Over the last three months, we have aggressively expanded our network of partners to deploy functional, everyday use cases while simultaneously reinforcing our institutional-grade infrastructure. This quarter was about execution: putting stablecoins in the hands of tourists, bringing even more real-world assets (RWAs) onchain, and bootstrapping a highly efficient credit layer. Here is a comprehensive look at the partnerships and initiatives we onboarded in Q3, categorized by their strategic impact on the Kaia ecosystem and what they mean for our users. 1. Expanding the Japanese Ecosystem & Cross-Border Payments Kaia is rapidly establishing itself as the primary settlement layer for Japan’s digital asset future, focusing on seamless retail adoption and regulatory compliance. HashPort We kicked off a major expansion into Japan’s payment economy by integrating with @hashport_io, the country's leading non-custodial wallet and wallet builder solution provider. HashPort’s 1M+ users can now hold and send Kaia-based JPYC and USDT natively. This integration establishes a robust foundation for widespread stablecoin utility and adoption across Japan's digital landscape. Netstars Alongside this, our MOU with Netstars seeks to bring these assets directly to retail checkout counters nationwide. This partnership could allow users to seamlessly pay with stablecoins while merchants settle in fiat yen, unlocking new possibilities for real-world purchasing power for digital assets without the need for complex off-ramping. Finoject To navigate Japan’s nuanced regulatory landscape, we partnered with Finoject, a regulatory consulting firm led by former @bitFlyer CEO Kimihiro Mine. By leveraging Finoject's deep expertise in FSA licensing and AML/CFT frameworks, this collaboration accelerates our cross-border stablecoin and tokenization initiatives. It ensures the Kaia ecosystem remains fully compliant while seamlessly connecting us with key Japanese financial institutions to build next-generation onchain financial infrastructure. Japan Security Token Association (JSTA) To further solidify our presence in the region, Kaia officially joined the Japan Security Token Association (JSTA). This strategic membership lays the institutional groundwork required for Japan’s growing RWA sector, ensuring our network is perfectly positioned to capture long-term institutional liquidity in the Japanese market. K-Pick service on Unifi: Made for Japanese Visitors to Korea Cross-border friction is a thing of the past. Through our partnership with Guide Kim (Afformation), the K-Pick service launched on @unifi_x. Japanese tourists traveling to South Korea can now effortlessly purchase travel and retail services (like Olive Young and Daiso gift cards). 2. Institutional RWAs & Stablecoin Utility Stablecoins are designed to move. This quarter, we integrated partners that allow capital to flow efficiently into real-world assets and traditional financial systems. BNK Busan Bank & K-STAR Alliance In a massive step for digital local currencies, South Korea’s BNK Busan Bank successfully piloted KRW stablecoin infrastructure on Kaia. Alongside @AhnLab_ABC, Lambda256, and Open Asset, the proof-of-concept achieved a 100% success rate with sub-second processing, validating Kaia’s capacity to handle high-volume, institutional-grade financial settlements for everyday local commerce. Galactica & Pinetree Securities To evolve institutional RWAs, Kaia partnered with Galactica and Hanwha subsidiary Pinetree Securities. This tripartite MOU establishes an end-to-end RWA value chain, starting with fractionalized investments in Indonesian ship finance, effectively democratizing access to traditionally illiquid, high-barrier institutional assets for global investors on Kaia. XyloLabs We partnered with XyloLabs to integrate their Mochi platform, enabling automated RWA portfolio diversification for stablecoins. By adapting Bridgewater’s renowned 'All Weather' strategy for onchain real-world assets, Mochi allows users to seamlessly allocate stablecoins into diverse, risk-adjusted portfolios. Furthermore, through Kaia InvestmZent Partners (KIP), we are actively exploring deeper integrations to expand investor access to premium institutional-grade RWAs. DCSPay On the merchant side, we worked with DCSPay to integrate Kaia-native USDT into its payment gateway. Merchants using DCSPay can now accept USDT on Kaia through a single integration and, where permitted, receive fiat settlement into their bank accounts through DCSPay's network of licensed partners, bringing Web3 payments closer to everyday commerce. DOZN Kaia has signed an MOU with KOSDAQ-listed fintech company DOZN to build a cross-border settlement infrastructure utilizing local Asian stablecoins. The partnership will launch a Proof of Concept (PoC) across three key markets: Japan (JPYC), Indonesia (IDRP), and the Philippines (PHPC). By enabling a "direct issuer redemption" model on the Kaia chain and leveraging DOZN's B2B FX and KRW settlement infrastructure, the initiative bypasses traditional, multi-step exchange processes. This streamlined approach aims to significantly reduce transaction fees, minimize slippage, and accelerate settlement times for cross-border payments. 3. Bootstrapping the Credit Layer & DeFi Yields A mature blockchain requires productive capital. Q3 saw the launch of our DeFi Summer campaign to activate idle stablecoins and reward network participants. Feather, Morpho & Merkl To securely handle an influx of liquidity, we integrated a battle-tested DeFi stack. Morpho provides isolated lending markets to prevent systemic contagion; Feather actively manages risk parameters and curates vaults; and Merkl distributes rewards directly to users without the need for staking. Ultimately, users can supply USDT or borrow against KAIA/stKAIA collateral to earn boosted APYs in a highly secure, isolated environment, unlocking native utility for their assets. SuperEarnX & Klip Wallet During our recently concluded campaign integrating SuperEarnX and AhnLab_ABC’s Klip Wallet, users were able to unlock up to 17% APY on their Kaia-based USDT. This limited-time event provided highly competitive, predictable yields for users who locked a minimum of 100 USDT for 30 days, successfully driving Total Value Locked (TVL) on the network. 4. Ecosystem Growth & Contribution Rewards CR Mission 1: Epoch 1 This quarter marked the completion of Epoch 1 of our Contribution Rewards (CR) system. By converting the previous Proposal Reward (10% of block rewards) into a contribution-based model, we are directly rewarding users who maintain both KAIA staking and USDT deposits. In Epoch 1, recognized TVL reached a period average of 728,426 USDT across participating wallets, with earned rewards unlocking linearly over six months. As a result of our contributions policy, the unearned budget of 2,463,579 KAIA was slated for burning, ensuring it never enters the circulating supply. This model aligns network incentives directly with active participation, allowing users to earn sustainable rewards for providing liquidity while the automated burn mechanism (which executes onchain every 3 Epochs, with the first batch scheduled for November) protects the broader token economy. 5. Reinforcing Infrastructure, Privacy & Security Security scales with adoption. As institutional activity surges, we integrated top-tier infrastructure providers to protect users and capital. Safe, Blockaid & Hypernative The global standard for onchain treasury management is now live on Kaia with the deployment of Safe’s smart account infrastructure, bringing programmable multisig vaults to the network. To actively defend these assets, we onboarded Blockaid for Onchain Monitoring, which secures the infrastructure the Kaia ecosystem runs on, across apps, wallets, bridges, and contracts, detecting incidents before they spread and protecting builders and users across the chain. In addition, we brought on Hypernative Labs for an additional layer of real-time threat detection and risk monitoring, ensuring institutional-grade security, 24/7 monitoring, and complete peace of mind for users interacting with DeFi protocols. ERA Wallet & zERC20 Wallet security got a major upgrade with ERA Wallet, which brings completely offline transaction reading to Kaia, allowing users to see exact transfer details in plain text before confirming. Additionally, zERC20 deployed on the network to introduce zJPYC. Together, ERA prevents blind-signing vulnerabilities, while zJPYC unlocks composable privacy for JPY exposure, allowing for private FX, hedging, and treasury management onchain. 6. Ratio & The IDR Corridor This quarter highlighted the advancement of Ratio, an FX platform incubated within the Kaia ecosystem, designed to connect Asia's fragmented financial systems. By working alongside IDRX (deployed on Kaia) and Nobu Bank, Ratio has successfully activated a complete Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) settlement corridor. This infrastructure features an oracle-anchored FX Engine for stablecoin-to-stablecoin routing, providing regulated institutions with predictable, high-volume cross-border settlement and deep institutional liquidity. Rather than replacing local banking systems, Ratio acts as a shared orchestration layer, establishing a scalable blueprint for a fully interoperable, pan-Asian stablecoin network. Looking Ahead Q3 was about building the pipes that connect Kaia to the real world; from Japanese retail counters to Indonesian ship finance, all while activating idle capital through CR Mission 1 and our DeFi credit layer. As we move into Q4, our focus remains on deepening these integrations, expanding our reach, and ensuring that Kaia remains the most efficient, secure, and useful stablecoin network in the APAC region and beyond.
