This is an attempt at fixing a serious problem. So many schools charge absurd tuition for degrees that are borderline worthless. The US tax base should not be subsidizing every single degree under the sun. If your 4 year college program is producing graduates that earn less than the *median* salary of someone without a college degree — that’s a terrible look.
Is this the best solution? What’s the best solution to this problem? I have no idea but subsidizing virtually all college tuition has lead to absurd price inflation and it’s a genuine problem.
