I think the picture is becoming clearer. Russia still wants to avoid war with NATO, but it is moving towards more Leipzig style provocations and attacks, clearly undeterred by the German and European response to that incident & perhaps seeing a window of opportunity for applying pressure during Trump’s presidency and while Europe’s military buildup is at a nascent stage.
