Goldman Sachs, Citizens: SEC Innovation Exemption Framework Could Benefit Coinbase, Robinhood and Circle

Goldman Sachs and Citizens analysts said the SEC’s five-year “innovation exemption” framework could benefit Coinbase, Robinhood and Circle by allowing qualifying tokenized U.S. stocks to trade through AMMs on public blockchains. Coinbase could benefit from custody, tokenization infrastructure, stablecoins and Base; Robinhood would need to add full shareholder rights to its offshore stock-token products; Circle could benefit from greater demand for USDC settlement and collateral. Trading limits, issuer opt-out rights and AMM constraints could limit the impact on traditional exchanges.
