I'm with Dave here. I think it's entered the mainstream and been a major success. A large fraction of high-end advisor conversations start with direct indexing at this point.
For framing: We're seven years into direct indexing being a mainstream thing (that's when commissions fell to $0 broadly). Seven years after ETFs launched they held $60b. We're probably at $1t for direct indexing. I'd say not bad!
