HUNDREDS MISSING IN TIBET AND NEPAL AFTER GLACIAL COLLAPSE AND FLASH FLOODS In Tibet, mudslides caused by a glacial collapse have left three dead and 558 missing, per Xinhua. State broadcaster CCTV reports 260 of those missing are foreign nationals, and that two villagers were rescued. In Nepal, police report at least 162 killed after flash floods swept through communities in a border area on Wednesday. Officials earlier said 403 people were missing, including 341 foreign nationals. A tourism board spokesperson said 133 were Indian nationals on pilgrimage to Mount Kailash, along with 47 Americans, 34 Australians, 33 British and 24 Canadian nationals. The US State Department said it is aware of Americans affected. Travel has halted in parts of the region, with roads destroyed and buildings buried, per the AP.
