Bittensor Ecosystem Highlights :: July 20–26, 2026
[ @chutes_ai - Subnet 64 ] Chutes pre-trained a 20B model for under $10 an hour without a dedicated cluster.
Parallax coordinated rented GPUs across two continents and came close to the quality of a model trained on four high-end datacenter GPUs. It shows that affordable GPUs in different locations can train large AI models, a job that normally requires a massive datacenter cluster.
[ @TargonCompute - Subnet 4 ] TargonOS is now live, bringing confidential AI compute to Bittensor.
Developers can now rent a private machine, install what they need, and keep their data hidden from the hardware provider. This gives Bittensor a decentralized cloud with privacy enforced directly by @Intel hardware.
[ @engyai - Subnet 53 ] Engy is now live on Bittensor, serving frontier open models with verified inference.
Its cryptographic proofs let users check that the model they chose produced each answer. Engy combines low-cost compute with SOTA cluster management to deliver some of the cheapest frontier-model inference on the market through Bittensor.
[ @bitmind - Subnet 34 ] BitMind published a new paper testing its deepfake detector across 19 public benchmarks.
It matched the best commercial image detector, beat the best commercial video detector, and outperformed leading published models on several major benchmarks. The system comes from Bittensor’s SN34 competition, where miners continuously generate harder fakes and build better detectors as deepfake technology evolves.
Miners will score the surface, corners, edges, centering and overall condition against grades set by professionals. The challenge puts Bittensor vision models to work on a real commercial task where tiny defects can decide a card’s final grade.
[ @actualinc - Subnet 95 ] Actual Computer joined the NVIDIA Inception Program. The program can give the team access to NVIDIA’s technical resources, experts and go-to-market support as it expands fast local inference across consumer GPUs.

quote: Just an innocent little error folks https://x.com/govsherrillnj/status/2079602942722662725 | Last week I learned that a serious software error in New Jersey’s Motor Vehicle System led to the registration of roughly 6,600 people who indicated that they were not U.S. citizens between June 2023 and June 2024, almost three years prior to my taking office. These individuals answered "no" when asked on a keypad whether they were a U.S. citizen when applying for drivers' licenses and identification cards, but through no fault of their own, the system registered them anyway.
This happened under the previous administration and, upon learning this information, I immediately ordered my chief counsel to launch an investigation to get to the bottom of what occurred. I also ordered the removal of any residents from our voter rolls who were erroneously added between June 2023 and June 2024. The new MVC Administrator that I appointed has begun the process of replacing the vendor responsible for administering the system.
Our preliminary analysis shows fewer than 400 individuals who were newly registered for the first time because of the error voted. They were registered as Democrats, Republicans and Unaffiliated voters and were scattered across the state.
I want to underscore how seriously I take this matter. As a military veteran who swore an oath to defend our Constitution, and as a former federal prosecutor, I believe the integrity of our elections is fundamental to our democracy. I am appalled by the reckless failures that allowed this to happen and the lack of transparency shown by those in charge at the time. This failure didn’t occur under my watch, but accountability starts now. I am taking action to prevent anything like it from occurring in the future and make sure those responsible are held accountable.
As the Trump Administration tries to weaponize elections for political gain, I am ensuring we protect our elections. Let me be clear: Donald Trump has zero credibility on the issue of election integrity. For more than ten years, he has worked to undermine Americans' faith in our elections by spreading lies about legitimate election results, attempting to overturn a free and fair election, encouraging an attack on our Capitol when he couldn't accept the will of the voters, and defunding election security at the federal level.
The difference is simple: when we find a problem, we don't hide it, deny it, or invent conspiracies. We investigate it, we fix it, and we tell the public. That's what accountability and good governance look like, and that's exactly what my administration is doing.
New Jerseyans should have confidence that every eligible citizen can vote, every lawful vote will be counted, and every reasonable step will be taken to protect the integrity of our elections. That's my responsibility, and it's one I will never stop fighting to uphold.

quote: The lesson from '94 still holds: value traces to 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗳𝗹𝗼𝘄, not the noise.
Same rule, new arena — a game economy priced on actual play. 🔹
https://x.com/i/status/2078637540979138693 | 1. Everything started back then. :-)
2. In 1994, as a sophomore in college, I took Finance 101. It started with “What is Wealth?” and covered cashflow, NPV, IRR, dividends, company valuation — the fundamentals of capital markets. I felt a deep satisfaction, as if I had finally understood how the world really works.
3. I remember the final chapter was “Future of Finance.” It boldly concluded that in the future, everything would become an asset and be traded. Every valuable thing in the world would turn into an asset. The excitement I felt at that moment still lingers.
4. However, riding the internet revolution, I joined a small startup called Nexon with about 10 people in 1996 and dove into the gaming industry. For the next 22 years, I focused more on games than finance. Then, the hype starting in late 2017 led me to study blockchain. In 2018, I became convinced that blockchain could break games’ closed economies open, turning every game into a real economic arena. For the past 8.5 years, I have poured everything into building a blockchain game platform.
5. Before AI, over 60,000 new games were released each year, each with hundreds of valuable items — perfect assets for the digital economy blockchain creates. In the AI era, the number of games will explode to millions or billions. In everyday life onchain transactions, games will take the largest share. How many times a day do you shop or send money?
6. But games are not everything. Ultimately, every valuable thing will go onchain, and some valuable things will be born as new digital assets.
7. A prime example is fandom. Stars and fans form communities and are core players in the economic ecosystem. By tokenizing existing tangible and intangible economic activities and contributions onchain, we can create matching digital assets and build a true digital economy. This will make fandoms more valuable and sustainable.
8. There have been many attempts, most of which failed — and many more will fail. For an economy to function, “cashflow” is essential. Most projects failed to meet this most basic requirement, so they couldn’t succeed or sustain success. Every successful project had cashflow to support token burns. Tokenomics without cashflow is a house of cards — destined to collapse eventually.
9. I have been waiting since 2018 to find and build this fundamental. Now, the time has come.
10. Streamers are emerging as the stars of the new era. They each build their own fandoms, large or small. They generate real cashflow through streaming, which has a strong positive correlation with the size and strength of their fandom. Streamer tokens meet all the necessary conditions to become true digital assets.
11. That’s why we are launching streamer tokens powered by the @ONEwave_xyz system. Setting aside other community aspects for now, all income streamers earn through ONEwave will be used to buy back and burn their own streamer tokens in the market. The more they expand their fandom and generate income, the more buyback and burn will occur. This is perfect basic tokenomics!
12. @SalleSRJnaWeb3 is stepping up as the first mover, launching his own token, $SRT. All ONEwave income he earns will be used to buy back and burn $SRT in the market. Under an immutable smart contract structure, everything will be determined by his activity and fandom. Good luck!
13. Looking back now, exploring the “Future of Finance” I first encountered 32 years ago feels almost surreal. Naturally, I will embrace and follow this destiny.
p.s.) There are many opinions about memes, but I judge them by one single fundamental criterion: Is there sustainable cashflow for tokenomics? If yes, it has the potential to survive. If not, its fate was sealed from the beginning. :-)

quote: .@SuperRare is for shipping.
Over the last 3 months we have been heads down and shipped a ton of new features on SuperRare. We’re laser focused on building the best collecting experience on the internet powered by @ethereum
1) New homepage
It’s been way too long since the website got a refresh. We rearchitected the homepage to give collectors a better sense of what's happening in realtime, what’s trending, and what's happening on the platform today.
2) Hype machine
Sharing a art is a big part of the collecting experience. We now auto generate Instagram Story cards, X post images, and square share images. Download or copy and send it on the tl.
3) Normie onboarding
Sign in with email or social accounts and start collecting in seconds. Literally.
4) Meatspace art
Art is art. Digital or physical, it all has a special place in our lives. We now support physical works on the site and are building out a print integration to allow anyone to sell museum grade prints of their work.
5) Editions
1/1 grails are my favorite but not everyone can yolo a few racks on a single artwork. Editions give artists a way to connect with collectors at a variety of price points.
6) Charge it
Buy artwork with a credit card or Apple Pay, no need to think about crypto.
7) Live auction chat
Everyone loves a troll box. We added ephemeral chat to live auctions so artists can jump in and chat with collectors during an auction. Chat also supports slash commands for faster bidding and sharing.
8) New notification engine
Fully rearchitected notification system that updates you about new offers, bids, sales, follows, collaborations, and new work. Save the app to your homescreen for notifications on the go!
9) Collab SZN baby
Collaborations are now fully supported to allow collectors to better understand when a piece is co-created.
This isn’t even the full list but I need to get back to my agents and keep shipping.
We're building the best place on the internet to discover, collect, and experience art.
Stay $RARE. | Ethereum is for shipping.
